What local video processing means

Understand what stays on your device and how temporary results are stored.

Your video is not uploaded

The browser downloads the processing program from Gomav, then reads and processes the video on your device. There is no video-upload endpoint in these tools. Website requests still reach the hosting server, so normal server access logs can include IP addresses, page paths and request times. Local media processing does not mean all browsing is invisible.

Temporary browser storage

Successful output files are saved in IndexedDB in this browser for one hour. This allows the separate result page to work after a refresh or language change. The result identifier is not a server download key. Opening its address on another device will not transfer the file. Clearing site data or using private browsing may remove it earlier.

Delete and download are different

Download saves a copy to your downloads folder; Delete this result removes the temporary browser copy. Deleting the local result does not remove a file you already downloaded, and deleting your downloaded file does not clear the browser copy. Expired browser entries are cleaned when the app next runs; idle storage may remain until that cleanup or site-data removal.

Shared devices

On a shared device, download only where you intend to keep the file and delete the result after use. Browser profiles and operating-system access controls still matter. Gomav currently has no analytics or advertising tags in this build. If those services are added, the privacy and consent information must be updated before activation.
